红树枝动画节介绍

红树枝国际动画节是一个集世界顶级科技、艺术、娱乐和研究为一体的综合性盛会。尽管艺术家总爱追求复古设计，但他们早已突破了文艺复兴以来科学和艺术的类似表现。现在，艺术家使用计算机涂绘，而科学家则在颜色和运动中传达他们复杂的理念。2006年红树枝国际动画节将于明年4月20号到23号在美国Baton Rouge市举行，其中节会的一个重要内容就是集中推荐展示艺术、运动和科研的综合开发。
这种综合开发重点表现的不仅是艺术家应用的一套全新的科技创作手法，同时还包括科学工作者正在研发的视觉艺术。现今，全球的科技和艺术正在逐步相互渗透融合，在Baton Rouge市召开的动画节正是这样一个契机，能够及时地传播这种变化，并提升它，将此作为己用。
创造艺术与技术实验室是LSU的计算机与技术中心(CCT)中一个完整的研究团队.实验室主要致力于一个目标:通过创造力.技术和人类表达方式的完美融合来阐述发现与探索. 对于科学追求而言,发现与探索是无止尽的:它同时也是艺术.音乐以及人类行为的共同语言. 红树枝动画节正是为了向世人传递这种思想而诞生,通过这种老少咸宜却又处于技术前沿的艺术形式向人们诠释动画。

About The Red Stick Festival
The Red Stick International Animation Festival is an exciting community event that converges the worlds of technology, art, entertainment and exploration. Though artists have always used the tools of their time, at no time since the Renaissance has there been a similar convergence of science and art. Artists draw and paint with computers, and scientists convey their complex theories in color and motion. The 2006 Red Stick International Animation Festival highlights this convergence celebrating art, motion, and exploration in downtown Baton Rouge April 20-23, 2006.
The movement toward convergence highlights not only the new set of technical skills that artists employ, but likewise the artistic vision that scientists are embracing. The worlds of the artist and scientist are folding in on one another, and Baton Rouge is at a unique moment in time to embrace this sea of change, further it, and make it our own.
The Laboratory for Creative Arts & Technologies (LCAT) is an integral research cluster within LSU's Center for Computation & Technology, or CCT. The central functions of the lab's efforts converge on a single purpose: to articulate discovery through the intersections of creativity, technology, and human expression. Discovery is not limited to scientific pursuits; it also is the language of art, music, and human interaction. The Red Stick Festival is designed to convey this by highlighting one of the most technically driven art forms available to everyone: animation.
